Here is a simple way to block most of the ads! Open "Hosts" file with notepad: You can find it here: * Windows 95/98/ME: C:\Windows (I think) * Windows NT: C:\WinNT\hosts * Windows 2000: C:\WinNT\system32\drivers\etc\ * Windows XP: C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc * Windows Vista/7: >C:\system32\drivers\etc\ cannot be edited by normal users. >To edit the host file, >Start -> Search Notepad, right-click and select “Run as Administrator“. This should launch notepad with elevated privileges. >Now, open the host file from the File menu, edit and save. Just copy-paste this list of Ad servers attached here & save the file! That's All..!! (Download a huge list of Ad servers! See the attachment..) Edit: Sorry! I've forgot one major ad server in this list! Just add this one also into the list: 127.0.0.1 googleads.g.doubleclick.net >If you found any more Ad sites/servers, just add it into this list & also post here.. >HAPPY AD-FREE BROWSING!!
