Here is an excellent Software that will allow you to enter any "Password Protected" Computer (linux or Windows) without knowing or changing the actual Password !!!!
That sounds good..??
The Soft is called "Kon-Boot"...
here is the official description....
-------------------
Kon-Boot is an prototype piece of software which allows to change contents of a linux kernel (and now Windows kernel also!!!) on the fly (while booting). In the current compilation state it allows to log into a linux system as 'root' user without typing the correct password or to elevate privileges from current user to root. For Windows systems it allows to enter any password protected profile without any knowledge of the password. It was acctually started as silly project of mine, which was born from my never-ending memory problems Secondly it was mainly created for Ubuntu, later i have made few add-ons to cover some other linux distributions. Finally, please consider this is my first linux project so far Entire Kon-Boot was written in pure x86 assembly, using old grandpa-geezer TASM 4.0.
----------------------
Tested platforms:
----------------------------
MS Windows:
Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 (v.275) Windows Vista Business SP0Windows Vista Ultimate SP1Windows Vista Ultimate SP0Windows Server 2003 EnterpriseWindows XPWindows XP SP1Windows XP SP2Windows XP SP3Windows 7
---------------------
Linux :
KERNEL GRUB
Gentoo 2.6.24-gentoo-r5 GRUB
0.97Ubuntu 2.6.24.3-debug GRUB
0.97Debian 2.6.18-6-6861 GRUB
0.97Fedora 2.6.25.9-76.fc9.i6862 GRUB 0.97
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
:: Using Kon-Boot - Logging In Without A Pass (LIWaP) :: (for Linux)
1. Boot with Kon-boot CD or Floppy
2. When Linux is fully booted go to the console mode
3. Type 'kon-usr' as login, if it works you should be now in the system
4. !Remember! to restore the system when you are leaving, you can do this by typing 'kon-fix' as login again.
-----------------------------
:: Using Kon-Boot on Windows ::
1. Insert the Kon-Boot CD that you just burned and boot the computer with the CD. You will need to configure the BIOS to start up the computer with CD.
2. A kryptos login splash screen appears. You’ll need to hit enter to continue or else the screen will stay there.
3. Kon-Boot will tell you that it is ready to hax0R in. It will check SMAP BIOS entries, detect dummy BIOS, and fix SMAP entries.
4. Windows will now load as normal.
5. When the Log On to Windows box appear, simply type anything in the password box and you’re in! You can even leave the password field blank.Do take note that Kon-Boot does NOT modify any of your files. If you boot up the computer the next time without Kon-Boot CD and try to login using any password, you’ll get the error “The system could not log you on. Make sure your User name and domain are correct, then type your password again. Letters in passwords must be typed using the correct case.”
